What the heck have I been listening to this time?

Hello, I hope you have been well! During February I tried to find more queer tv shows, movies and even podcasts to enjoy. I found some with the aid of the internet, however, it would not be until the Youtube algorithm blessed me that I found my new favourite podcast. At first, I had such mixed feelings about this podcast given it was so different from the type of content I was used to but I am so happy I gave it the full shot because it is amazing. I wonder if you can guess what it is?
The podcast like many queer podcasts has on queer guest who speaks about their queer relationships and stories. However, this podcast does this ingeniously by adding the art of comedy to each episode. The episodes are usually over an hour-long with reoccurring guests that are some of my favourite YouTubers like Alyana Joy or Jamie and Shaaba. Have you guessed it already? Well, if you said “We’re Having Gay Sex” by Ashley Gavin then you are correct!

If you are a person that like satirical humour that might be offensive then this could be the podcast for you. Gavin finds a way of combining some awkward or may be difficult to have topics like gender and sex and comedy and it works so beautifully. This podcast has also opened my eyes to a lot more queer creative along with comedians I had never heard of. Additionally, Gavin shares multiple pieces of her life that makes you as a listener not only feel like the bottom you are but also build a safe parasocial relationship with her. One of my favourite parts of the podcast is Kate Sisk! I cannot tell you if it is their ever-changing gender or the dynamic of Ashley and Kate together that makes me laugh until I cry but they are my favourite co-host. There is never a dull moment in the podcast with a lot of overlapping nonsense in between that ties it together beautifully. The guests they have are all so different which makes for numerous new conversations and perspectives. I have the time of my life watching and listening to the podcast while I go about my day and because of that, I must recommend it to you. Also, you will probably leave this podcast with an itching for a Helix mattress and that’s a completely natural response.
